Lamprobe Treatment (VERSION 1.0)
Is the lamprobe a laser and how does it work?
No, lamprobe is not a laser. It is a Class I FDA approved device that utilizes radio high frequency that emits heat at the surface of the skin to attract liquids or oils within the skin irregularity to fade, diminish, or dry up the flaw. This technique is sometimes referred to as radio vaporization or thermo-coagulation.
How do I know if I am a candidate for lamprobe?
We do not recommend lamprobe for those who are pregnant, have skin infections or contagious skin disorders, pacemakers or electrical implanted devices, severe heart problems, or diabetics unless they (diabetics) have permission from their physician.
How many treatments do I need with lamprobe?
Results of some cosmetic treatments with lamprobe are instantaneous, while larger irregularities may need more than one treatment. Most, however, are gone or faded after the first treatment. If the flaw is not gone to your satisfaction, then you may receive another treatment after 2-4 weeks to ensure complete healing of the treated area.
How quick are the treatments and how quickly do you see the results?
Treatments duration depends on the size of the area to be treated. It could last up to 5-30 mins.
What will my skin look like immediately following lamprobe?
Expect slight redness at the area and or scabbing for a few days before the irregularity has faded or completely diminished. Results vary with each individual and areas can be treated every 2 to 4 weeks if not visibly gone to your satisfaction.
Can the lamprobe be used in conjunction with a microdermabrasion treatment?
Yes, following a microdermabrasion treatment, minor skin irregularities will become more visible. Lamprobe treatments can then be performed.
