Skin Needling TREATMENT (version 1.0)
The process is called Collagen Induction Therapy and is used to improve
How does it work?
Micro needling is based on the use of tiny needles to create micro channels (tiny holes) in the skin. The process stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and in the process produces collagen and elastin.
This repair process begins almost immediately and results in a thicker dermis and softened wrinkles or scars.
There is no tissue destruction with micro needling. The small channels in the epidermis close very quickly and the skin begins a healing response right away. Depending on the depth of the skin defect, you may see only redness or you may experience some pinpoint bleeding which stops almost immediately.
An outstanding product absorption booster.
These superficial micro-channels also allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Specific treatment products can be selected to achieve accelerated results. We’ll employ various topicals depending upon your needs:
PRP Therapy via MicroNeedling
Topical PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy utilize microneedling to advance the healing of lasers and resurfacing treatments. PRP treatments are also used to boost the freshness of the skin and improve skin texture and tone.
What areas can be treated?
Micro needling can safely be used on nearly all parts of the body with the most frequent treatments being on the:
Post Treatment:
Use antiseptic cream (Bepanthen) two times a day for at least 5 days post treatment. After 5-7 days your skin should be completely back to normal. You can go back to your active skincare routine on day 6.
Cleanse:
Use a soothing cleanser / face wash with lukewarm water to cleanse the face for the following 48 hours and dry gently. Always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area.
Hydrate:
Post treatment, your skin may feel drier than normal. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is an ideal ingredient to hydrate the skin, following with a moisturiser if you feel your skin has become too dry.
Stimulate:
In the days following your treatment, as the skin starts to regenerate, collagen stimulating peptides and plant stem cells are ideal to keep the stimulation going. You can use serums that include these ingredients, on the 6th day post treatment.
Make-up:
Avoid the application of make up for at least 24 hours after your treatment. Mineral make up is ideal after this treatment, as they help to protect the skin and help with the healing process without any harsh ingredients. Make sure any brushes you use are completely clean from any previous product use, to avoid any bacteria entering the skin.
Protect:
Apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with SPF30 after your treatment and continue to use one every day after your treatment. A chemical free sunscreen is highly recommended.
